I am running out of space in my designated Lego area and it has been

colder environment? I Lego does just fine in the cold, in fact there have
been many "deep sea" Lego expeditions that have ended up in the freezer. But
I don't know about the metal parts. Let me know if you any of you have had
any experience with this.

Oh, and it if makes a difference I live in the Seattle WA area, so not real
cold winters, but it does get a bit damp.

Personally I have not had a problem.  I store all my unused track and motors in
my unheated basement and havn't had a problem yet.  My guess though is that
cold is not a problem but dampness could very will be.  I would try and keep
everything as dry as possible.  I would even say that if it is to damp I would
find somewhere in the house for your motors.
