    How wide (in inches) is a piece of track? —James Trobaugh
   I'm working on little project here at the office (and I don't have any track here) and I need to know what the width of a piece of track. I know it's 6 studs, but what does that come out to in inches? If someone has a piece of track and a ruler (...) (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.trains)

     (...) Actually thats the distance between the outside edges of the ties (8 studs) don't know if you meant between the rails. Here are several dimensions. 2 1/2" from outside of the ties. 1 11/16" between outside of the rails 1 1/2" between inside of (...) (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.trains)
