  3225 Classic Train engine

I recently acquired the 3225 Classic Train. My interest is rather new for trains both in real life and in LEGO so I have no idea how realistic this engine is. It seems odd to me that there is a lever at the front of the train. Would it be more (...) (24 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Question about Running 12v trains

(...) The lights _should_ be fine. Esp. if you have any real length of wire between them and the powerpack, they are not going to get 13V, in fact, they may well not even be getting 12V. The best way to judge is to take the lights, and (in a dark (...) (24 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Question about Running 12v trains

For a 7864 12v train speed regulator: Went down to Radio Shack yesterday and bought a 40W 110v to 220v step up transformer. So far as I can tell 40W is just fine for running the LEGO 12v trains and accessories. The German plug on the 7864 goes (...) (24 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Help Open 12v switch track motor- doesn't switch

Ben, Thanks. Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated. However, I would not want you to re-open a repaired points motor that currently works and risk damaging the box. Perhaps Ludo would be willing to speak to this again? I am (...) (24 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

From John Neal: (...) Yes, I'm looking forward to meeting whoever's around in Minneapolis next week--you can thank Steve and Barb for having a <a href="(URL)baby</a> so that I now have a good front to come to Minneapolis so I can play with Lego! ;) (...)   Re: LUG World Map 1st Version complete.

(...) For those that may be wondering the maps can be found at: (URL) are also many links to these maps from the LUGNET home page as well as in the lugnet.org.* and lugnet.loc.* hierarchies. Finally I just wanted to remind people that when you get (...) (24 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.org, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.loc.it, lugnet.org.ca, lugnet.org.nl, lugnet.org.us)

Re: Millennium Falcon with grey train roof pieces?

(...) are (...) Well it's got ME gaga. MF looks to be a good set for parts. Although as I've opined before, I feel almost all double slope parts are evil, they all should be paired 1/2 parts instead so we can use them as we will. There are a lot of (...)   Re: Help Open 12v switch track motor- doesn't switch

Hi James, same question came up u few weeks ago.... Ludo from Belgium answered then that he opened such a point motor box once, but he traded it away and the new owner is me. If you like I can try to find this repaired point motor this evening (...) (24 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 9V train collection completed

(...) Thank's Jonathan and Larry for your helpful replies, but I someone already promised to deal away his "720" goldprinted bricks and I'm in contact with an owner of the 722. If that deal won't be finished I come back to the 2500% offer. Regards, (...) (24 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.trains)
