| (...) roads (...) In the US the yard goat is whatever power has yard duty. Yardmaster's whim, to a certain extent. Sometimes it's a relatively small engine, like a SW (which I modeled). No, it is a smallish animal, somewhat larger than a dog that eats grass...but, in a railway context, it would be about eq. to a 08 or such like (if not a 2x class engine in the UK, american ones tend to be 1500 HP and up.
