  Re: Maryland & Pennsylvania RR 4-4-0 #6

(...) Thanks. Considering my N&W beat out your Union Pacific GE and Brian Williams Dunn & Duffy Circus train it was quite an honor. Both were excelent MOCs. Cale (URL) (16 years ago, 15-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Maryland & Pennsylvania RR 4-4-0 #6

(...) Thanks. The front truck doesn't support any of the locos weight which isn't prototypical but it works. As I was building #6 I was worried that the lack of truck support and the solid boiler would cause it to be nose heavy. I even had boat (...) (16 years ago, 15-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Maryland & Pennsylvania RR 4-4-0 #6

That front truck is a masterpiece, does it support any of the weight of the loco or is it held on the track purely by its own weight? Tim (16 years ago, 14-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Maryland & Pennsylvania RR 4-4-0 #6

Great work! I also want to congradulate you on your Norfolk and Western getting elected the best train at BrickWorld. Your trains and rail cars are certainly some of the best that I've seen. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Scott (16 years ago, 14-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains)

  Maryland & Pennsylvania RR 4-4-0 #6

Ma & Pa 4-4-0 #6 Originally formed in 1901 from several narrow gauge lines, the now standard gauge Maryland & Pennsylvania RR railroad (Ma & Pa to its fans) traced a meandering seventy-seven mile route to connect Baltimore, MD and York, PA, two (...)   Maryland & Pennsylvania RR 700 series Box Cars

Ma & Pa 700 series Box Cars The Ma & Pa built these cars in the late 1920s using parts from previous cars. These wooden truss rod cars served the railroad for many years with a few lasting into the early 60's long after other railroads would have (...)   Re: automatic mindstorm crane

(...) I have lots of photo which may help you build a similar design, Send me an email and I'll dig them out. I have a very limited collection of pieces so the design challenge is always to build the best model with my current bricks. But I acquire (...) (16 years ago, 13-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: automatic mindstorm crane

Very nice crane, I really like the way the cargo is moved from train to train. This is a great combionation of two of my favorite Lego themes...trains and Mindstorms. Do you happen to have building instructions for this creation? Brian (16 years ago, 12-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: S@H Sale

(...) I suspect all of these are probably on Bricklink by now, they sold out within a few hours.. (16 years ago, 11-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: S@H Sale

(...) Out of town last week, Is there anyone who purchased a large quintity of straight track that would sell some for $10 a box? I would like 50 or 100 of them. Thanks in advance. Chris (16 years ago, 11-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains)

Belgian RR X-ing signal for single track

Hi all, It doesn't need to be always a large MOC to post, and i wanted to build this for a long time. Just uploaded a small MOC (2 versions) from the Belgian Railroad crossing signal for single track. Sorry, but I needed to cut a antenna to fix the (...)   Re: LEGO 7996 Crossover Motorized and Ballasted - Pictures

(...) Mark: Nice work! This solution looks really trick. Another great use for the pneumatic system. I wish this stuff was still being produced (although I'm interested to see how the rams work on the new excavator set). I also like you ballast (...) (16 years ago, 8-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LEGO 7996 Crossover Motorized and Ballasted - Pictures

(...) I have altered the crossover controls to provide for an all-straight state by tweaking the springs in the switching rails. I have also motorized the crossover in such a way that it can be set straight, TL-BR or BL-TR with two switches (both (...)   Anyone Interested?

Is there anyone interested in teaming up on a project? I need someone who has some graphic skills to repro some livery. I have images (jpeg) of the Seattle Sounder livery for the engine and cars, but no graphic skills, or knowledge for that matter. (...) (16 years ago, 6-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Soo Line GP9 and a Tanker

Wow, great work on the tanker, seriously. I admit I had to think about the "viking wheels" for a minute since I completely missed (sort of) the viking line and was simply unaware of these parts. They sure fit perfectly for this use. Great idea. (...) (16 years ago, 3-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: S@H Sale

(...) A big thankyou to my Canadian friend who has organised to ship me some motors. To everyone who offered to help, thank you very much. (16 years ago, 2-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Soo Line GP9 and a Tanker

(...) Thanks Benn. The row of 1x4 bricks with 4 studs on their sides above the "SOO" prevent me from dropping the exhaust stacks down a plate. Perhaps I could replace a few of them with 1x2 technic pins with 2 holes and pin them in place with (...) (16 years ago, 2-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
