Re: TSRR #500 and the Texas State Railroad Project

(...) I had a lok at the site and followed some links and wrote to the Governor. I wrote how as a tourist I and my family would be more likely to come visit the State if the Railroad (and the parks system in general) was fully funded. Don't know if (...)   Re: TSRR #500 and the Texas State Railroad Project

(...) Nice work. Looks like the suggestion worked well. The idea of combining one axle of a leading truck into the same truck with the driving wheels has a lot of potential for creating big steam engines. Of course, it is only possible with blind (...) (...) Oh, you're out of the business for the time being? I didn't know if aab.jpg here ((URL) meant that you weren't taking orders for some mythical creation entitled aab or if you weren't taking orders at all. I've been on the fence about ordering (...) (18 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.trains)

TSRR #500 and the Texas State Railroad Project

I didn't start this looking for a cause... After playing around with my two steam locomotives on the few TexLUG displays I've attended, I decided I needed a steam locomotive that was a bit more layout friendly. My American 4-4-0 (6-wide) doesn't (...) (18 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general, FTX) !!

Re: Prepare to cry: 2007 train pics

(...) After looking at the pictures it got me thinking. If you had two main lines and ran the trains in the same direction. One train would jump to the other main line. As the track only has one toggle for two switches on each end. Thus causing one (...) (18 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) i'll see what i can do about putting some metal on it when i get my hands on one. it should be fairly easy as 1/8in u channel is readaly avalible in brass and works very well. i'll have to make a tool to scrape or shave the plastic to fit it (...)   Re: Classic Space Rocket Train

(...) I love it! Very classic. I wonder, though- the passenger car looks like it has an awkwardly-long wheelbase for a 2-axle car. Does it bind in curves? Anyway, this looks like it would be at home on a moonbase layout. And by your server domain, (...) (18 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, FTX)
