Just to let you know that i've put a first image on brickbay of my latest project, Hudson 2 foot gauge 'Rugga' hoppers and flatcar. (URL) wagons were built for very light railways and industrial lines, in fact some were built without the (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: NILTC - Northern Illinois LEGO Train Club

Congrats Folks, I will put you in the queue for the LUGMAP (along with about 6 other groups, sorry folks I've been busy). I was just wondering why you all decided to go LTC and not LUG? Nothing wrong with that of course but Tim, you don't strike me (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.us.il, lugnet.loc.us.il.chi, lugnet.trains.org)

Re: NILTC - Northern Illinois LEGO Train Club

Tim & All, (...) Gosh, guys, like I am not in enough clubs yet or something! : ) Boy I thought I would never say that! Anyway, that is all right, I would be happy to attend, provided it doesn't crash with other club meetings (namely IndyLUG or (...)   NILTC - Northern Illinois LEGO Train Club

Hi everyone! I'm pleased to announce the formation of a rather infant LEGO train club, the Northern Illinois LTC. So far, we're only a handful of members, and right now half of that handful are pretty busy, but we wanted to get the ball rolling. (...)   Re: GATS

(...) I am going to assume, when answering these questions that you are talking about the most recent GATS show, as in the show that can be seen in the pictures here: (URL) far as who all was in attendence, read Scott Sanburn's Report here: (URL) of (...)   Flywheels in LU (was Re: what is the use of a caboose?

(...) Why flywheels? Why not just put the power back into the mains? (regenerative braking) US electric locos do this, I believe... In this case the flywheels seem to add a layer of complexity (and a source of loss) that isn't needed unless I am (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: GATS

(...) That's a can of worms! Conan as an individual exhibitor clearly predates the PNLTC by a lot but it's a matter of semantics as to whether he "was" the GMLTC all by himself. Not a can I want to pop open at this time :-) FUT to the group (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.trains.org)

Re: what is the use of a caboose?

(...) On similar lines London Underground has a proposal for (and is testing) a scheme using flywheels mounted trackside. The principle is that current generated by braking trains (back EMF?) drive the flywheels and accelerating trains use the (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: GATS

(...) See lugnet.org.us.michlug or the MichLUG website at www.michlug.org for details of this particular GATS show, which was held in Grand Rapids MI weekend before last. However GATS (Great American Train Shows) is a company that puts on a train (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.org, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

  Re: GATS

Ben & All, (...) Are you referring to a specific GATS show, or just in general? Scott S. -- (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)
