  Re: GATS

(...) That's a can of worms! Conan as an individual exhibitor clearly predates the PNLTC by a lot but it's a matter of semantics as to whether he "was" the GMLTC all by himself. Not a can I want to pop open at this time :-) FUT to the group (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.trains.org)

  Re: GATS

(...) See lugnet.org.us.michlug or the MichLUG website at www.michlug.org for details of this particular GATS show, which was held in Grand Rapids MI weekend before last. However GATS (Great American Train Shows) is a company that puts on a train (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.org, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

  Re: GATS

(...) Yes, those pictures are great and it took some hours to look through. Could someone please let me know, how many people have been attendes of the GATSs Lego Layout.   Re: D.C. Metrorail Car

I was just browsing though what happened last month and found this. Cool stuff. I have been looking at these (URL) Denmark and Sweden, but found them to be hard to build.   Re: what is the use of a caboose?

(...) Not disputing that. Just not sure that a 30K RPM graphite in an evacuated can with magnetic bearings is, at this moment, "perfectly" practical. Not just yet. But the notion of powering up at stops (think regular electric bus poles that instead (...) (23 years ago, 1-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Lubricating axels, etc.

(...) <try a ramp, here's how> Excellent advice. If after proper weighting, you are still struggling to get things moving, there is a problem. Ben's test is good. Also examine individual wheelsets. If you flick a wheel with your thumb, it should (...) (23 years ago, 1-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)
