Re: The Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb (HNK)

(...) Thanks :) (...) The building is indeed modular, it has been designed as such because I knew I would need to put it apart for transporting. Basically every wall section is a separate module (details on how it is "cut" can be seen (URL) if (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jan-08, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: The Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb (HNK)

(...) Yes! A little late, but here. :o) (...) Stunning. Excellent details everywhere. Congrats on the completion. best, Jonathan (17 years ago, 16-Jan-08, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: The Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb (HNK)

(...) Hi Matija, I also was following up your updates in the brickshelf gallery on the HNK building. And right from the first CAD file I saw I must addmit that this building is absolutly fantastic. It's a very challenging building to convert it into (...) (17 years ago, 16-Jan-08, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: The Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb (HNK)

(...) Knock knock... still there? ;) So, the first version is finally built (and I must say I'm more than glad about that period being over). It had become "a bit" exhausting after a while, but I think it was worth it. (2 URLs) To William, re "I (...) (17 years ago, 14-Jan-08, to lugnet.town, FTX) !

  Re: Minifig Vending Machine

(...) I was lucky enough to have some extra vacation left at the end of the year. I took about 12 days off work starting Dec. 21st. During this time I think I spent most of my waking moments building LEGO Star Wars sets. :-) I still haven't (...) (17 years ago, 9-Jan-08, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Minifig Vending Machine

(...) The vending machine and train station are both great MOCs! But one thing I don't understand. With all those new Star Wars sets for Christmas, how do you find time to build excellent MOCs as well?! Keep building! (17 years ago, 9-Jan-08, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Minifig Vending Machine

Looks great. Furniture is something I’m trying to build more of...tired of just having lots of barrels, crates and treasure chests in every corner. (Actually - that sounds like all my college apartments!) The details on the machine are sharp - Sorry (...) (17 years ago, 9-Jan-08, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Minifig Vending Machine

No it's not a machine that vends Minifigs...although that would be a sweet concept. I'd go broke if we had one of those at work. :-) I might just be on to something here. A Minifig vending machine. It could revolutionize Minifig distribution. (...) (17 years ago, 8-Jan-08, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town, FTX) !

  Re: Small town building reference

(...) It took me a little less than a year to get out and take some photos. (URL) I got on the subway, took it 5 stops out further into Brooklyn, and walked home in a zig zaging manner. The area I went though is called the Gowanus section. It is (...) (17 years ago, 7-Jan-08, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: New 8-wide models?

(...) Peter, It looks like the answer to your question just appeared in a picture posted on Brickset. The Summer 2008 lineup will include an 8-wide truck as part of the new Coast Guard line. The name translates to "Coast Guard Beach Truck with (...) (17 years ago, 3-Jan-08, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, FTX)

  new lintel piece

OK, so TLG used it as a fender. Looks like a good piece for windows on a building. (URL) Now we just need to see it in an earth-tone color. Looks like black will be available on one of the larger sets. Jonathan (17 years ago, 2-Jan-08, to lugnet.town)

  new moc: water tower house

i vowed to myself to post this before the new year. i have berated fellow lug members for not posting their new mocs but then i distinctly heard mr. pot calling to mr. kettle, something about the colour black. back in april i completed a new moc, (...)   Re: Sirens can be US or UK sirens as well!

(...) Actually, there is only one siren which plays both sounds as far as I can tell. You turn the knob on the top of the siren to change what sound is played. Thats how it is on all the sirens I have seen anyway. (17 years ago, 23-Dec-07, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space)

  Holidays Around the World

In December of 2001, post 9/11, I created a display at the high school where I teach (I had a student teacher that semester) to foster understanding of other cultures. A book titled Holidays Around the World from the children's section of our (...) (17 years ago, 23-Dec-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Sirens can be US or UK sirens as well!

Just my too sense: Some sirens will have a different wail. I have quite a few of them and some were obviously made for the UK (weeee-wah, weeee-wah) and some are made for the US (wee-ooo, wee-ooo, wee-ooo). Aaah, gotta love the technical jargon! :-) (...)   Re: How to tell the difference between Light & Sound sirens?

(...) White ones can be for Space and Town; black for Town (2 URLs) A made a MP3 file with the sounds of the two sirens. (URL) (223ko) The two first sounds are Town, the two others for Space. Erik (17 years ago, 15-Dec-07, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, FTX)

How to tell the difference between Light & Sound sirens?

How can I tell if I have a town siren or a space siren? Are all the white ones space and the black ones town? Does anyone have a recording of either siren and the sounds it makes? (17 years ago, 10-Dec-07, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space)

Re: The Hawaii Theatre - a big MOC!

(...) I love this MOC. Okay, admittedly I have a thing for diners and theatres, but this MOC is incredible for so many reasons. I usually fly thru the recent pics on Brickshelf, but when I fell on this last night I took my time pouring over the (...) (17 years ago, 7-Dec-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)
