  Weber County Scout Jamborall

To all, ULUG participated in a weekend Scout Jamborall in Weber County. The show was a great success but incredibly exhausting and short. 7 of us, as everyone knows who goes to train shows, spent 10 hours setting up and two hour taking down for a 6 (...)   Module idea for new layout section

Hello! I have decided to add a 16'(or possibly 18') x 2' section to my current layout. It will be along one of the walls in my layout room. This unfortunately means I have to move my current layout tables over appx 8" to give me enough space to walk (...) (17 years ago, 21-May-07, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Congratulations Pierre

Thank you guys for your kind words, and to everyone who had a look at my folder. Steven, you know you also inspired me for some creations (firetrucks, front end loader 2...) and I wish to thank you for that. I'm often inspired by pictures I see on (...) Here's another structure utilizing the skateboard ramps. Still unfinished and likely to be used in a Theed themed diorama later on. (2 URLs) AC (17 years ago, 21-May-07, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.castle, lugnet.town, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

  Re: Congratulations Pierre

Pierre, Steven’s comments are right on! You are an inspiration for many builders with all the vehicles you have built that are a great model of the real thing. Thanks also for taking and posting all the pics of your work. I wish my fleet could be (...) (17 years ago, 19-May-07, to lugnet.town, lugnet.general)

Congratulations to Pierre Normandin on getting 100,000 hits in his (URL) Brickshelf folder>.   Re: Modest house

(...) Hi Bruce, Thanks! Yes, as </town/?n=9746 Erik Amzallag answered>, it's a new piece, which you can find in the fire station: [LEGOSet 7945] where it holds the sliding door. It will make an appearance as gutter in other 2007 sets too, and I (...) (17 years ago, 18-May-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Modest house

(...) Actually, that was my original intention, and with the hollow stud of headlight bricks, it's not really that difficult. The problem is more at the ends of the roof, where you have to cover up the extra half slopes... which can be made easier (...) (17 years ago, 18-May-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Modest house

(...) Sure there is. Just put down a layer of 1x2 jumper plates, another layer of regular plates (using the half-stud offset), and finally the tile slopes. The only problem is that there's not a clean way to terminate the design at roof's edge, as (...) (17 years ago, 18-May-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Hotrod and bike - shiny vehicles

(...) Excellent use of the yellow fender piece. I have so many of them in black that I am trying to figure out how to use them. Great stuff as always. Best, Jonathan (17 years ago, 18-May-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Modest house

(...) the feeling the days of sand green might be over, but I'd love to see the 1x1 slopes in sand green to make a 'copper' roof. I wonder if there is any way to offset each row by 1/2 stud . . . Also, I love the studs out approach on the facade. I (...) (17 years ago, 18-May-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Hotrod and bike - shiny vehicles

(...) Very nice work, as always, Tim. I wonder if the bodywork of the hotrod isn't just a bit on the small side? Or if it couldn't do with some detail to break up the stark red? Spotlighted. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Richie Dulin (17 years ago, 18-May-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Mark's Pad

Hotrod and bike - shiny vehicles

(URL) I felt like breaking out the chrome so I stole from (URL) misterzumbi> and (URL) mijasper> and built myself a hotrod and hotrod bike. The wheel design in the hotrod is one I thought of for my Rolls Royce but couldn't do as I don't have those (...) (17 years ago, 17-May-07, to lugnet.town, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!
