  Re: ZiL 158 Bus

(...) I hear you. I need to take a break myself. (...) Thanks for pointing those out. The rear end of the roof of my trolley is quite similar to that of the greyhound bus. One of these buses will be appearing on my layout at some point. That is (...) (18 years ago, 5-Feb-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: ZiL 158 Bus

(...) I miss it too. When I get a sand green headlight brick I'll put it back but I'm trying to steer clear of BL for the time being ;) (...) Very nice proto. I have to strongly recommend looking at (URL) this> (and more after clicking up) and (URL) (...) (18 years ago, 5-Feb-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: ZiL 158 Bus

(...) Looks great! I do miss the sand green 1x1 tile on the headlight brick towards the rear though. Regardless of what it represented, I think it added some nice texture there. I really want to build on of these for myself. I just love the look of (...) (18 years ago, 5-Feb-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Hartford Hosts England's Loudest Band

(URL) NELUG> was proud to rock Hartford at the Great Train Expo this weekend. We truly turned it up to eleven. (URL) Spïnal Tap was (URL), eagerly cheered on by a horde of Vikings and a bunch of bodacious babes (some of royal blood). Throw in one (...)   Re: ZiL 158 Bus

(...) With thanks to Tim David and William Howard I managed to get one of these built. Thanks to the masses of SNOT and some choices I had to make to do with available bricks the bus weighs a tonne... which is probably prototypical. (2 URLs) and the (...)   Re: PSLTC Suburban House Standard

(...) Ahhh yes. I have seen those trees. Some of my favourites. This one is a nice take on the technique. Tim (18 years ago, 2-Feb-07, to lugnet.town)

  Re: PSLTC Suburban House Standard

On Thu, 1 Feb 2007, it was written: (...) I believe so, yes. I think the first time I saw this technique was a MOC by Anu Pehrson at a SEALUG meeting (URL) I think that MOC influenced Jeff's. (18 years ago, 2-Feb-07, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Another style Garbage Truck

--snip-- (...) FWIW I like it better but as I mentioned earlier I do have a thing for mirrors ;) Tim (18 years ago, 1-Feb-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: PSLTC Suburban House Standard

--snip-- (...) That's a really pretty tree in that yard. Is the angling done by clipping the foliage segments together via the flower sprues? Tim (18 years ago, 1-Feb-07, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains.org)

  PSLTC Suburban House Standard

PSLTC has developed a suburban house standard, which is presented below. Jeff Pelletier did most of the thinking and work. The primary constraints and goals of the standard are: 1) PSLTC typically uses roadplates with 7 x 2/3 sidewalks built up (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains.org)

  Re: Another style Garbage Truck

(...) No problem at all. Actually, you mentioning this reminds me that I have another street that I haven't photographed very well yet that has a similar corner building on it that actually was built to be a bank! So, thanks! ;o) Jonathan (18 years ago, 31-Jan-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Another style Garbage Truck

(...) There goes my whole scenario ; ) It actually does look like an american post office (casts mind back). In Ireland they're small and painted green, a luxuriously building like that is reserved for housing money : ) Sorry to assume.. God Bless, (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jan-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Another style Garbage Truck

(...) Thanks! The teeth were a last minute add-on and I like the mean effect they give. I am glad you noticed them. Regarding the pose: yep, just coincidence. I find there are only a few good spots on my layout to photograph vehicles and this is one (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jan-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Another style Garbage Truck

Very nice! As usual with your work I find myself sucked into enjoying a town MOC (shudders instinctively ; ) I particularly like the 'teeth' look inside the back of the truck, a nice piece of realism. My other faviourite part of this MOC was (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jan-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Post office

(...) Thanks, Damien. I am pretty excited about the elevated train line. It has taken me a while to get it to work smoothly due to two really high inclines. (it goes from underground to above ground in a really short section). I am really confident (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jan-07, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Post office

(...) That's a creative way to aviod the stud notch look of the 2X2 round bricks. I like it. David "Fuzzy" Gregory (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Post office

Jon, Damn that Sh** is dope!!! Really. I've been playing with the idea of using the Spiral staircases to make wall sections for some of my Belville-scale stuff, but this is by far a more innovative and useful application. Also, the elevated line is (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.town)
