LRNewswire-8 April 2000/"Fun World Adventure Park announces new attraction"

Today Fun World announced plans for new attractions at it's exisiting
lands. Coming up first is "Harry Cane's Flyers" in Adventureland. The
attraction features small airplanes circulating around Harry Cane's blimp.
Riders can control the height of thier airplane with a joystick. "Harry Cane's
Flyers" will open in late May. Controversey is brewing over the attraction's
sponser. Shell Oil wants to sponser the attraction, but Octan, a wholly owned
subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler InterLEGO AG, is not fond of the idea. They
sponser Expedition Egypt located right next door. Also coming are new effects
to the AT&T sponsered "Kongfrontation", such as a falling TV News copter. The
biggest news of the year, however, does not even have to do with a new ride,
it as to do with Pirates of the Carribean makeover, which includes more boats
and more scenes, including over ten new audio-animatronics. Also, the
Discovery Channel and NASA will continue to convert Seabase Alpha into "Raise
the Wolly Mammoth Headquarters." Now that the expedition part is over, more
vehicles will be brought in on display and a Polar Bear attraction will also
be built. The SS Diana Discovery also features a newly revised interior with
more exhibits, as the floating attraction gets a little friendlier. Work
continued on Star Wars Moutain, which will be done for summer 2001. The park
is also recording record attendence at Downtown Fun World, ever since thier
new Moonbase Alpha-theme area opened. New stores, a monorail station, and the
new LBC television studio which host many live news programs on LBC helped
spark attendence. A new Amazon-themed area opens 31 Decemeber, which will also
include the reopening of the Rainforest Cafe, which closed when Downtown Fun
World Amazon Ruins shut down.
