  Re: Layout of Jonathan Lopes

(...) The timer is the poor man's remote control, it gives you 10 seconds to do whatever... (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Layout of Jonathan Lopes

(...) Oh, is that all. "... and this remote control" JOHN (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Layout of Jonathan Lopes

(...) I feel my 6 wides are slightly beefier than most. . .with the exceptions of the subway cars which are indeed to narrow. Either way, I stil have a lot of growing to do with building trains. After all, I am (was?)a townie, trains are still new (...) (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Layout of Jonathan Lopes

(...) You weren't looking closely enough, his BNSF locomotive is a 7 wide... (...) I was harping on him about that. I want to see him come to the NMRA in Philly, even if only what will fit on a (train) carryon... (...) I think I've convinced him to (...) (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Layout of Jonathan Lopes

--SNIP-- (...) --SNIP-- You have to chide him for building in a superior width? Very odd... Tim (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Layout of Jonathan Lopes

(...) I think I know what you mean. I tend to what to only photograph finished MOCs-- just a few great eye-popping shots that maximize the "wow" factor. The same for pics of our layout. But personally, I find "under construction" pics rather (...) (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Layout of Jonathan Lopes

(...) I wish the tiles were old grey but bley works just fine. Tiled sidewalks are the way to go in my book. Along with tiled just about everything. Thanks for looking, posting and thanks once again for your breath of life into the town community as (...) (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Layout of Jonathan Lopes

(...) Thanks! Ondrew's layout provided a lot of inspiration for mine. (...) Sometimes I don't know 'when' to take pictures. You know, how far along I should be before I showcase things. Lar being in town worked out great because I probably would (...) (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Layout of Jonathan Lopes

(...) Thanks again, Lar, for the photo's, the hang, the feedback and the enthusiasm. Indeed, there will be MOC's more coming. Safe travels. Jonathan (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Layout of Jonathan Lopes

(...) --SNIP-- (...) Wow!!!! This layout is truly inspirational. Between Ondrew's and yours we've got wonderful nature and wonderful urban nature. Fantastic! Thanks Lar for posting these pictures too. There are some things that need to be seen (...) (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Layout of Jonathan Lopes

(...) Simply WOW! I never realized his layout was that large. There are some great details. I love the garbage truck and the 13plate tall windows. The horizontal railing on the second road bridge is another great idea as well as the city salt truck. (...) (19 years ago, 11-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains)

  Layout of Jonathan Lopes

I got a chance to meet up with Jonathan last night and he took me back to his place... not to look at his etchings but rather at his town/train layout. I took lots of pictures. (...) snip (...) looking at this, it looks good - comes with 4 cars :-) But, there is no glass in the green windshield in the crane car? I really hope there is.   Re: close up pics of IR receiver and remote was re: new trains

(...) The only benefit I could see is you can use this stuff for the sidings or static displays. That way you dont waist the good stuff for trains that will just sit there. David www.GPLR.org (19 years ago, 8-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.parts, lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: close up pics of IR receiver and remote was re: new trains

(...) To be fair all round, how many AFOLs will be buying plastic track expansion packs anyway? Jake said they'd keep making the metal track for hobby layouts. This pack is for the younger kids targeted by the battery trains, not train clubs who (...) (19 years ago, 7-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.parts, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Micro Tractor Equipment

Re: close up pics of IR receiver and remote was re: new trains

(...) Yea, it's real nice that we'll get twice as much track as before in a box, Even if itall plastic. But it sucks that it's a 50/50 mix of straight and curved rail. (URL) Mat (19 years ago, 6-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.parts, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Hina-Matsuri (Girl's Day)

Hina-matsuri is Girl's Day in Japan, and is celebrated on March 3rd.
