  Are these sets real?

Hello all, I was checking out all the new files on Brickshelf and came across this folder: (URL) these sets fake or real? I checked the Lego S@H website with no matches found. Any help would be appreciated. Scott Member 718 (19 years ago, 10-May-05, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Are these sets real?

(...) If I were guessing, I'd guess fake. LEGO previewed 4 new Racers tyre can sets at Toy Fair in NYC in Feb, and these weren't them. These have a lot of licensing prerequesites that just shout "not likely to have happened without fanfare" to me. (...) (19 years ago, 10-May-05, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Are these sets real?

(...) Wow. If they're fakes, they're GOOD fakes. Given the fact that the 'canister' orientation varies between shots, and there's little bits of the side art we can't even see (like the blue/white whisp in the upper right of the 1st pictured (...) (19 years ago, 10-May-05, to lugnet.town)

(...) Me either. I am guessing this won't get ME any new fans, but I think this change is worse than the gray/bley color change, actually. (19 years ago, 10-May-05, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Are these sets real?

(...) For the next batch of possible fake LEGO sets featuring cars from popular entertainment, I nominate the following: -- Orange Dodge Charger "General Lee" -- 1959 Cadillac Ambulance "Ghostbusters" car -- 1958 Red Plymouth Fury from movie (...) (19 years ago, 11-May-05, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Are these sets real?

(...) I would love to see a General Lee! There could also be some easy revenue for Lego if they get the set designed by August for the release of the new "The Dukes of Hazzard" film. Do you think the Confederate flag on top the car would pose a (...) (19 years ago, 13-May-05, to lugnet.town)
