  Supertrain pictures - SALUG

Greetings, I have posted pictures of SALUG participation at Supertrain: (URL) is a large model train show that takes place in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in mid February. This year SALUG (Southern Alberta Lego Users Group) won first place for the (...)   Coast Guard Base

For last November's GATS show in Pleasanton, CA our club didn't have the usual waterfront models, due to members being on vacation, so I built this to fill in the missing coastline. It's a United States Coast Guard base with helicopter and cutter (...)   Re: Log Cabin

Wow. The insane amount of repeating parts you have makes for an awesome scene. It feels very Pacific Northwest. And the cabin is studs-sideways, to boot. The little pier at the end is very nice as well. I have to agree though, that it deserves some (...) (20 years ago, 23-Feb-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Log Cabin

(...) Hi Jason! Nice work :) I like using the logs myself in buildings, makes a nice change to the flat bricks with the log look/feel :) I wish LEGO had more textured bricks (other than grill etc)... In your MOC, I like the cabin, trees and the (...) (20 years ago, 23-Feb-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Log Cabin

(...) I am sure that it is not LEGAL to have that many flower stems to use for grass. And the amount of palm tree fronds and trans. blue peices you have must be a direct violation of a law somewhere. That aside, this is one of the most brilliantly (...) (20 years ago, 22-Feb-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

(...) Cabin look great, however, if you can take shots without a flash, I think it would look even better. (...) (20 years ago, 22-Feb-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Log Cabin

Thanks for the comments. In terms of the cabin's size, it's really not all that big in terms of scale. The downstairs has a small bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, dining area, living room and laundry/mud room. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. (...)   Re: Log Cabin

(...) SNIP (...) What can one say? It's just awesome, especially in its size and color! No wonder I don't have too many trans-blue tiles. Like a real log cabin, it seems to need a little dusting, but that goes without saying. It seems to be a little (...) (20 years ago, 22-Feb-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Log Cabin

(...) Very nice! I particularly like the trees and the way you've blended the colours for the water. It shows a great use for all my palm tree leaves. I hadn't thought what to use them for, since I don't model tropical coastlines! This is one of the (...) (20 years ago, 22-Feb-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)
