I built this MOC this past summer, but never got around to posting it on Lugnet.
The MOC started life as a classic Golden T-Rod loosely based around a late 20s
or early 30s Ford. While looking at various reference photos I also started
looking at vintage Indy racers. I decided to keep the idea of the hot rod, but
applied a single passenger Indy-style bucket instead of a full bucket with bench
seat. The model features a stretched front clip with an exposed suspension
straddling the radiator, a removable engine cowl, fully detailed engine,
steering column with shifter on the tree, gas pedal, sliding/reclining bucket
seat, suicide door and chrome headlamps, grill and bumpers. A spare tire mount
also opens to expose a storage area for a matching tool box and I added a work
ramp and extra spare on the side to complete a garage setting. This is one of
the most detailed MOCs I have created in several years. It uses a little bit of
Technic, Bionicle, SNOT and standard LEGO contruction.
Let me know what you think...
