Well after a long building hiatus I finally have something new to show.  This
also happens to be my first successful automated MOC (other than a train).

I had always had a need for a working Gondola because how else are Minifig's
supposed to get up to the Shelf railway...

My Problems were always...
1. Finding LEGO string that was long enough
2. Creating enough friction for a car to climb a steep slope without slipping.

Both those problems were solved with the new inventor sets.

These sets include relatively long and high grade string and set 4090 includes
the new groved rubber tire.  Plus set 4094 has the cool new clear motor and
encased worm gear.  Together I was able to finally build a working gondola...

This set up will actually climb 90 degrees although that is not realistic for a
gondola.  I still need to build a battery box into the gondola, add a polarity
switch which I hope to use to automate the reversing of direction, and find some
matching parts for the slopes on the roof.  Hopefully I will have this completed
enough by the roadshow that is about a week and a half away.

Eric K.
