I was playing with my bot factory during lunch & came up with a little Jedi
Hoverbike, inspired by Chris Maddison's idea @

mainly the color scheme & the angled pieces give it a slight Jedi look.  Then i
realized I could make a quick modification & make it look more like the
super-deformed/hoverbike version of the Jedi Starfighter, as other builders have
done with other ships:

The next Hoverbike is a minimalist test, the Needle & pilot Spike. notice the
'eye'; excellent for towing stuff around moonbases:

This MOC is a solution for the top 1x2 slope (after 2x2 slope/space is used) on
3-wide barrel used on the official Lego Star Wars X-wing set; that problem
always bugged me:

from thinking about the seats on the hoverbikes & the engine solution, i came up
with a round cushion chair.  the studs do hold the cushion for the minifigs back
in place (i tried IRL)& the bar nestles between the two 1x2 stud rows.

Enjoy!

Jeff

(...) I really like this one....it's simplicity and lightweight appearance would go well with an exploration ship. Hmmm.... Cheers, -G (21 years ago, 16-Jun-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space, lugnet.town)
