Hello,
I was pleased to see this post tonight:
http://news.lugnet.com/cad/?n=10174
Because just like Ronald, Ive also just taken my first steps into creating CAD
models. In my case, very tiny steps. :)
I tried something small first, since I was still unsure about the software.
Here is the model Ive come up with:
And like Ronald, Im looking for any ideas or suggestions for improvements.
I created the renders using LPub 2.2.0.0 and POV-RAY v3.5. I had some trouble
getting LPub to talk nice to POV, but found that if I kept the settings close to
the defaults (for LPub) that things worked well. However, if I tried to include
orthographic or any lighting effects etc. then POV returned with syntax
errors. Anyone else finding this problem? Any solutions?
Heres the link to more pics and details about the engine:

And, if anyone wants to write a review, the model is also available via Bricks
On The Brain:

Thanks for any input you may have.
Best regards,
Allan B.
- Im setting follow-ups to lugnet.cad, since my posting is mostly asking for suggestions related to that process. However, since this is a small town model, Ive posted to that newsgroup and would welcome any comments on that part of the topic. Thanks!

| (...) Hi. I seen it on Brickshelf already. Quite a nice vehicle, and congrats on your first attempt at CAD. It looks like you are a seasoned pro already :) Thanks for sharing your model, and I hope you have a chance at winning a prize at the Bricks (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad, FTX)
