I've always liked the idea of 3 wheels/ship supports/architectural sides, since
3 makes an object very stable & at the same time visually dynamic; Also, on a
lesser level, the ancient primal, religious nature of the #3 holds my interest,
not that I'm into numerology; It's just a cool number. I had also seen some
older 3 wheel cars on TV or in Popular Science, and wondered why all the 3
wheel cars, bikes, etc, I had seen so far had one wheel in front with the other
two in back, as it makes the car tend to tip forward & to the side while
executing a corner. I thought it would be obvious that the
2-in-front,-1-in-back arrangement would be far superior, so I did an online
search for 3 wheeled vehicles and discovered an online wealth of
3-wheel-car-fans. This is my fave so far:

Sooooooo...I got into 3 wheelers & I thought, "Duh!, why not try a Lego 3
wheeler?"

Yup, from the front it's very obvious (bad) but at minifig scale & with the
pieces i have to work with it came out all right. Besides, real monster trucks
are so tall they've got 'narrow' wheelbases compared to the stunts they do, heh!
Thanks for the comments!

| (...) That's one of Robert Q. Riley's designs. You can buy the plans from him website and built a real one. He's got a few other three wheelers there too if you're looking for further inspiration. My favorite 3 wheeler is the C2C ((URL) designed by (...) (22 years ago, 8-Apr-03, to lugnet.town)
