The final teaser image has gone up at the Millennium City homepage at
http://homepage.ihug.co.nz/~jsds
This time it's a pic of passengers at Millennium Airport heading for
their flight.
Design Notes:
Millennium Airport is walking distance from City Central Transport
terminal although it's officially considered part of the industrial area
of
Highbury. The airport features 3 runways, one servicing OilerDax Cargo,
Runway Two used to park planes not in use and the main runway, Runway
One which is 6 Cylostuds (1) in length.
Project Notes:
Millennium City is an attempt to create a city using essentially
existing LEGO Town sets from 1978-1999. Over 200 LEGO Town sets and a
healthy dose of bulk parts purchased from LEGO New Zealand (2) went into
the creation of a LEGO city measuring 112.5 sq ft.
Sanjay
(1) A Cylostud is exactly 32 studs in length
(2) LEGO New Zealand used to provide a bulk ordering service featuring
over 2000 different parts. This service is no longer provided as LEGO
NZ scaled down operations in September 1999.
