Instead of developing a lock plate with a fixed width, why not create a 'bluff' plate--the equivalent of one of the proposed lock plates, but cut in half lengthwise. (...) Well no lock because I was thinking more along the lines of the systems in Europe (and possibly Norfolk?) which as far as I am away don't have locks. Ie canal as in Ship Canal? (...) (...) Canals are a real nice idea Alex. The obvious set missing from your list is a lock! Another possible would be a waterside inn. Separate boats as well. With the current offical selection going toward Jr, I am asking if anybody here would want to consider working out thier own theme using L-Draw/ML-CAD to work out the new parts and sets.
