Yup. I only ever got the Invader, the Battrax, and whichever Space minifig set
included a B1 minifig (fortunately for me, it included two black visors, since
Id crushed the one from my Invader by stepping on it *sniff*), so I was a bit
peeved when the Battrax was listed in the Legends vote-off instead of the
Renegade. I liked the bubble-pod idea from B2, but the color scheme and the
switch from spacesuit harnesses to team-logo jerzees just didnt do it for me.
B1 is the only Space theme that Id really be willing to collect if it ever got
revived.

Great form you have here and I like the details, from the stabilizing
thrusters
|
Heh. Those were purely accidental. I built the base on Wednesday, but as I was
looking it over on Thursday, something didnt seem quite right. I checked the
LUGNET photo archives and realized Id forgotten to include any trans-red. Most
of what I had immediately available at the time was a bunch of the little dots
(I used 26, plus one 1x1 cone, and two lightsaber blades), but there werent
many places available to connect them. I already had a bunch of the yellow dots
attached all over the place, so I slapped some trans-red ones on top of them. I
didnt even think up the thrust pod idea until after Id photographed it, and I
included it to supplement the mini GSP idea. After all, a bipedal mecha is not
a logistically sound idea, as it should be highly prone to falling on its face.
Stabilization systems seemed like the only logical solution.
That was also a post-photography idea, brought on by the sheer number of times I
had to pop that sucker off to make modifications to the top of it. And to
explain why three mini thrust pods ended up mounted to the base of it (I did
mention that I hadnt thought of the MTP idea until after Id finished the
photography, right?).

Funny intro too. I could not tell what the windshield was in the thumbnail

Now that was not intentional (I kinda figured people would catch the Bionicle
reference between the name and the fact that I was the one posting it). The
80x100 thumbnail just happens to be the size that fits into the photo-bar on the
right side of the page, so all of our thumbs end up that size. Sometimes I do
an extreme closeup (like I did for the TESB Boba Fetoa), and other times I try
to show as much of the original image as possible.
