Well, my T'R'U (Santa Maria, CA) was more than happy to give me a Copper
Mask of Victory...TODAY! Yep, I was just coming home to post this, and saw
this post, so I thought I would rub it in a bit...I got mine, and didn't
have to bring back the poster cupon, either...so now I have the mask AND an
intact poster!
I was registering a few things for our new baby, and so had to go to
Customer Service on the way out. While waiting, I saw a poly bag full of
Copper Masks! I was talking to my wife and the employee about the giveaway,
and picked up the bag to emphasiz the point that I could make a veritable
small fortune on eBay with that bag, when I saw that it was already open...
I asked the employee if I could have one, and she said sure. I had just
bought two mask packs, and asked her (facetiously) if I could have another
since I bought two Bionicle products, when she dropped this bombshell...the
single bag (estimate 75 masks total) was the ONLY bag they were going to
have for the entire give away! The moral of this story: Get your one mask
fast, and be happy to get it. I left the rest there for the kids who'll want
them...it was only fair...
BTW...went to McDonald's for the Bionicle promo today also...got 5 Hukis,
one for me, one for my daughter (which I'll get back later!) and three for
Jaap at Club Bionicle NZ...a friend who works there will be putting some
other things aside for me also (including posters and the display, I hope!).
Oh, and for the Californians out there, it seems that Ventura County is
considered the northernmost border of Southern California for the exclusive
Bionicle LEGO Writing System pen...I'll definately need to hit a few
McDonald's on my next trip down south...
