I'd say Porsche 918 or 928 (I never know which is which) for the 8880.

Hello all,

As the geek I am, yesterday I brought my 8448 car to the office and this
morning the 8880.

We would not agree over which real life cars were closest to each. I know
neither are licensed products, but what real life cars do you think they • are
closest to?

The 8448 reminds most people (including me) of Ferrari, however I was told
Ferrari's engines are in the back (although you can easily fit it in the
back of the 8448)

The 8880 reminds most people of Rally cars, due to 4x4x4 and the jacked
wheels. One of them even said Pontiac Fiero 1991! :)

Opinions?

(...) Close enough. I'm no car buff but do know for sure there are 4x4, rear-motor Porsche around. What about the 8448 ? (22 years ago, 24-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic)

(...) 928 is a front engine car: (URL) I think the 918 is a racecar...not sure though. 8880 has always reminded me of a poor Lamborghini Diablo replica, mostly because of the shape of the windsheild and side windows. The Diablo VT is a mid-engine (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic)

I have to disagree... I'd say the 8880 is much more Lamborghini-esque than Porche-like ... "Duq" <lugnetpost@skipthis...tmfweb.nl> wrote in message news:H98IH7.2tE@lugnet.com... (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic)
