I've never seen a Technic hovercraft before, and for some reason I'd never
thought about it. I like the idea a lot! The model looks similar to the
SR-N1 that Saunders-Roe built, and even more similar to their concept model:

except of course that at that time they hadn't yet invented the skirt. I
think bicycle inner tube would work very well for a large model but will
probably be too thick and heavy for a lightweight frame - a lot of the model
kits suggest using a bin bag or something equally thin and tough (a friend
of my brother had an R/C model hovercraft and the skirt was much thinner
than inner tube).
Would the propellor from set 8855 provide more thrust?
