Yes, they're definitely candidates. A quick list off the top of my head:
- 1x2 liftarms from the R2 set (8009)
- double axle joiner-thingys (8009)
- 3L gray pin (from new Bionicle sets)
- 2L black axle-pin with friction (from new Bionicle sets)

I guess when once a week becomes a bit too much, then I can go to once a
month. I'm sure I won't run out of ideas.
When new parts run out, I can feature some good old classics. How about a
1x16 beam? They're pretty rare these days. Perhaps there's some new Technic
fans that have never seen one before!
