Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what is the purpose of the inner
silicon o-ring inside the pully part 2983
(http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/2983)? Is it used in some limited-slip
mechanism?

I got the part in set 8735, which might as well not come with a manual...

thx,

sim
