  Off Topic: Hopelessly looking for tires
 
I am at wits end in trying to locate (12) 62.4 x 20 S tires and hubs. My project is in need of these in order to finish. Any help? Thanks all!! (23 years ago, 6-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) There are a few available here: (URL) the old 20x30 wheels are about the same size as these and are much easier to obtain (since they appear in many sets; the 68.8x24s are only in 5571 and 8479), so if you really cannot manage to get hold of (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Now this begs a question... Why did TLC produce two very different tyres and mark them both "20 x 30" ? I'm referring to the largish one found in 8862 Backhoe Grader and the newer one from 6617 Tough Truck Rally. I have one of each in front of (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic)

You are forgetting that there is also a tire that looks like the ballon tire, but is solid and fits on the older type of 20x30 rims... :) -Tom (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic)
