  Re: How rare is...

(...) That's what I did too! I think the 20x30 ballon tyres are some of the best tyres available. They are realistic looking for eg. construction equipment, and they have nice traction and off-road capabilities. Besides, they are not as (...)   Re: Any Ideas= 8448 and 4 wheel steering?

(...) Hmm. I'm not a Technic-head, and I haven't actually sat down and played with the ABS to know how well this would work, but here goes an idea... In order to look right (and work well, I think), the pivot for the rear wheels need to be as close (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Shame, Shame...."plastic" rubber tires in new technic

Howdy, Never sat down and figured out the friction coefficient for the different LEGO tires. However, over the years I have hosted numerous "hill-climb", "King of the Hills", "Tug of War" and "Tractor Pull" type contests. Usually, kids will grab the (...)   Re: Micro-motors and fiber optics

(...) 8456 isn't hard to find.... it's for sale at the Dutch V&D shops. I'll try to pick up a bunch later this week. (25 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Identifying defective pnumatic damper/spring/shock

There is no way to identify the defective ones until they break! If the ones you want to buy are from a set, rather than replacements from Lego, I wouldn't risk it.   Re: Any Ideas= 8448 and 4 wheel steering?

If you still want the rear wheel drive and suspension, you are going to have a tough time implementing rear wheel steering! The 8880 implements rear wheel steering and drive by some specialized parts. Without them it is somewhat tricky to build (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Any Ideas= 8448 and 4 wheel steering?

Hi, I've been thinking about this for about a week and can't come up with anything. I even looked at the 8880 instructions but I couldn't figure out how to make the conversion. Does anyone have any ideas? Any Help Apreciated! Thanks! Gary (25 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Micro-motors and fiber optics

8456 had the fiber optics, but is hard to find. The micro motors were available as a service pack. That way you'd get the proper brackets to mount it (top and bottom, rather than two bottom pieces like you get with the space shuttle). Check (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Make-your-own differential

A differential with no gears? That'd be very interesting... Duq "Marco Adelfio" <madelfio@sidwell.edu> wrote in message news:G6wGM2.8B5@lugnet.com... (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)
