Mine did the same thing, and I made three changes: - I used a larger (looser) pair of elastics for the head - I shoved the "nose" tube piece in quite a bit further than is depicted in the instructions - I swapped the (technic pin/half length (...) (...) Well, I encountered that same problem, and found a solution. The head is only held on with a 3L axel with stud, so what you do is take a piece of tape and wrap that piece around twice, sticky side to the axel. What you will notice when you put (...) Hi all. I've got the technic Destroyer Droid, and it's a lovely model, with that great rolling feature. However, the head has a distressing tendency to pop off in the midst of rolling. It's easy enough to fit back on, but it makes the model less (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic)

(...) Great! It's just like a Mindstorms jack. There is also a "~" symbol next to the 9-12V marking, which means you can supply any polarity you like. They do, after all, have to make it kid-proof! I'd recommend RadioShack 273-1656A. It's a 9V 800mA (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

(...) Thanks Ralph. I took pictures of the jack and the adapter and posted them at the end of the picture set: (URL) jack says "9-12V" next to it. The plug for the adapter looks like any ordinary adapter. The adapter says on it: PRI: 230V - 50 Hz (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

(...) Heather, As far as I know, the transformer has a plug on the end, so you should be able to go to any RadioShack and get a 9V-800mA(or so) adapter. Just be sure to check polarity. Are there any symbols near the jack on the Command Center (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)
