| Hi everyone.. I have heard that the damped shocks in the 8448 set are known to break... I think mine are starting to go, the spring on one is pushing through the endcap and bits of plastic are breaking off inside.... Is this were they normally (...) (25 years ago, 10-Dec-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.technic)

| (...) The point which is most likely to fail is right where the wire goes into the end-plate. This is because thats where most bending occurrs most often. The more it gets bent this way & that, the more likely it is to separate inside the (...) (25 years ago, 10-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

I dont mind vechicles but they need to get away from all of these sports cars, racing cars, motorbikes, construction equiplent (like those (...) | (...) As a Technics fan I completely agree with the the above comment - that's why the Starwars 8000, 8001 and (especially) the 8002 sets were such a revelation for me.
