Re: Caterham 7 replica completed: Take a look at my finished creation!

(...) You are right, I simply ran out of the blue hinge pieces that I have used for all of the mudguards. Blue would have been better, but I also noticed that the most expensive Caterham 7s (the Superlight R) have unpainted carbon fibre front (...)   8458 Silver Champion sickers

Does anyone have a scan of the sticker sheet for this set? There was a message in the archives from Jason Fabisch who'd done this, but his e-mail address is invalid. Thanks! (25 years ago, 5-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: MOC: Radio Controlled Tank.

Tobbe, This is a nice looking model, especially with all the functions. As to more traction, you could use alternating regular chain links and tread links and mount a 1x4 plate on each tread link, studs out. I'm not sure how realistic this would (...)   8880 Hydralics (sp?)

i was wondering if it would be possible to add hydralics to an 8880. essentially, you would have to replace all of the shocks with large pneumatic cylinders to get the effect done right. perhaps you could use an electric compressor like in the 8868.   Re: Favorite Technic sets

The most popular ones here appear to be the 8480 Space Shuttle and the 8880 Super Car. The space shuttle is an outstanding model with seven functions, complex gear/axle networks and many useful (special and generic) pieces. I don't own the 8880 so I (...)   Re: Caterham 7 replica completed: Take a look at my finished creation!

It's been interesting to follow the progress of the creation of this model, and the finished model is certainly great! The front mudguards that follow the steering of the front wheels is a nice touch. Did you use the colour black for them because (...) (25 years ago, 3-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) in (...) scheme. (...) Good to hear you recognised the 7. I agree about the colour too (I know the BRG acronym well!), I did consider a white stripe on the blue, but decided it would probably end up looking messy. BRG bricks please, Lego?   Re: Caterham 7 replica completed: Take a look at my finished creation!

I'll let someone else work that out ;-) Thanks for the compliments! (...) (25 years ago, 3-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.loc.uk)

What sets does one have to buy to have all the parts neccesarely to build this awesome model? It should be made as an official Lego technic / modelteam set . Really beautifull car. Koen (25 years ago, 3-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) Very cool! I recognized what car it was right away! But it needs to be in BRG (British Racing Green) with a yellow nose cone and stripe. Yeah, I know, it's a Caterham but us Prisoner/Lotus fans only admit to one paint scheme. :-) Bruce (25 years ago, 3-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.loc.uk)
