(...) Hi Kerry I do not know that much the McLaren company, but if it would have been the Ferrari name I can insure you Lego should have paid to use it (and not the opposite) and I guess this was the real reason to make an anonimous silver F1. (...) If McLaren had paid, I would expect to see the McLaren name and logos all over it. Surely they wouldn't pay just to keep us guessing. Kerry (25 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.loc.it)

An optical illusion most likely. You can spin it near the monitor but looking next to the screen and it will turn only one direction. Or you can stand back and put the propellor between the monitor and your eyes and it will again turn in 2 (...) (25 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.test, lugnet.technic)

(...) First of all, yes you are completely safe. there is nothing wrong with your monitor. Secondly it's not a magnetic thing, there's no metal (or magnetinc ceramics even) in ABS so there's no way for the propeller to interact with your monitor's (...) Hi! You might try posting to lugnet.db.inv This newsgroup would be more appropriate for your request, although I don't think it would be too off-topic for lugnet.technic, so I've decided to add the newsgroup I mentioned to the FUT: list. Cheers ... (...) (25 years ago, 15-Oct-00, to lugnet.db.inv, lugnet.technic)

I did it! Torso- pretty much copied from Ultrarex's dual throwing arm, from Jet's instructions. Most pieces in this arm are found in Jet (in different colours). I was missing one friction peg, as Jet only comes with three (one is a spare), but it (...) (25 years ago, 15-Oct-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.technic)

(...) There are a number of ways to make a propellor or rotor from an 8448. Use your imagination. For example, take one 2x8 technic plate (with holes). Stick one technic bushing into the centre hole. The studs go into the notches on one side of the (...) (25 years ago, 15-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)
