You might have to take more than 10 cuts with your rack cutter.  To getting
good involute profiles requires more "machining."

Hello,,

I have a few questions about the Lego Technic Gears.

I have tried to draw them in a 3D-CAD program but I can't get the good • tooth-
shape. (I have made a rack, and used this for "cutting" a gear-tooth in 10
steps and then copied in a circular array. The combination rack-gear works
fine, but when I use two gears, the don't fit together)

Is there someone who knows more (or a website) about the Lego Technic • gears?

With kind regards,

Eelco Kooiker
