Hi,

yesterday I came a cross a strange pump from set 8680 (http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=8680-1).

This is the pump I found:

What’s different from usual? The piston (I’ll call “piston” the black part and “cylinder” the yellow/red part) is longer, as it comes from a long pneumatic actuator (well, in old pneumatic series actuators and pump were the same stuff, the difference was just a spring)

Usually this pump should be like the red one:

And in this picture you see it compared with both short and long actuators, so you can notice it’s a “long piston/short cylinder” hybrid.

Did you ever come across this part? Gianluca

PS no it’s not a custom part: no “modding” trace is visible and it perfectly fits the original plastic blister in the box...

The long handle pump is mentionned here: (URL) (17 years ago, 9-May-08, to lugnet.technic)
