Re: Request for info on the Control Lab Interface.

(...) Another question: Does this device work with serial port to USB adapters? I'd like to make this code as robust as possible, so this would be nice to know. If so, then I'd need to know if those adapters map themselves to the equivalent of COM1, (...) (18 years ago, 14-Apr-06, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, FTX)

Need to figure out how to get this motor unit attached.

(URL) trying to figure out how to attach the new motor assembly and it's one-way drive train shown in pics 0-4 in this folder to the hopper assembly, at the point where the old assembly engaged the hopper itself, in pic 10 in the brickshelf folder (...)   Re: Request for info on the Control Lab Interface.

(...) Thanks for your information! I was also sent via email a very helpful page: (URL) His (URL) Research Page> has source code, which was also helpful. In fact, his ActiveX control might be useful for NQC. I had trouble getting it to connect to my (...) (18 years ago, 12-Apr-06, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Request for info on the Control Lab Interface.

(...) Yes, programs are executed on the PC. (...) Nothing is stored on the device. (...) It resides on the PC. (...) AFAIK, you will need a newer version of ROBOLAB. The older versions (forget which) did not support ControlLab. If you're up to the (...) (18 years ago, 11-Apr-06, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Help with converting voltage on circuit board

(...) Hi Danny, If we supply +12V to the top of the transistors, the drive circuit will most likely not be able to block those transistors completely (unless said drive circuit has an open collector structure with a pull up to the emitter of the (...)   Re: Request for info on the Control Lab Interface.

Just today I got one of these from an eBay auction, including the original cable in a sealed plastic bag. The ROBOLAB software wasn't included, however, so I imagine that I'll need a driver of some kind to use it. Does anyone have a driver? (This (...)   Re: Scissor Lift in LEGO?

(...) Update: I ended up using string and it worked beautifully! Well, it has weight distribution issues (one side goes up before the other) but I'll work on that later... (18 years ago, 10-Apr-06, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Help with converting voltage on circuit board

(...) Thanks Dustin, those will help. I am inclined to agree with Philippe Hurbaine on the regulator. It is also obvious that it can take AC from the full wave rectifier near the power port. In answer to Davids question about the 4v connector (using (...) (18 years ago, 8-Apr-06, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

Re: Help with converting voltage on circuit board

(...) The BDX34 transistor + toroidal inductor above + LM339 comparator probably compose a switching regulator efficiently converting 13V input power to 4.5V for the outputs. Philo (18 years ago, 8-Apr-06, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

Re: Help with converting voltage on circuit board

I've taken some more detailed pictures of the circuit and the reverse side. (URL) through the manual, connections 6 and 7 are for sensors and connections 0-5 are for output (4V as labled on the cover), but you only can turn the circuit on or off. (...)   Re: Help with converting voltage on circuit board

(...) Hi Dustin, I am an EE. Before I give you some advice, I need a bit more information about 9750 (I have never seen one in person): - I see a power jack: I assume this powers the electronic circuit, not the loads, right? What voltage is applied (...) (18 years ago, 8-Apr-06, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

Re: Help with converting voltage on circuit board

(...) Wow - I remember those, we used them at school. Now why is it that Peeron do not have an entry for it under 9750? Those are also some big old capacitors, I would be inclined to check out their ESR (a rating of their health if you like) before (...) (18 years ago, 8-Apr-06, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

Re: Help with converting voltage on circuit board

Help with converting voltage on circuit board

I'd like to try to convert the output of the voltage on a 9750 from 4V to 12V (to control 12V trains :). I've taken a photo of the internal circuit board - my rudimentary EE knowledge leads me to be believe I need to swap out the transistors that (...) I've been able to find only one functional difference (improvement) you can clearly see here : (URL) That square limit how deep, Technic bushes for instance, can be "studded"; preventing it also to be "angled".   Re: Technic kits for 2006

I am definitely looking forward to the F1 racer! Do you know when it will be available in stores and at what price point? If Nathanael designed it I know it is going to be very cool! I was always amazed at the F1 racer he designed out of set 4404. I (...) (19 years ago, 29-Mar-06, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Request for info on the Control Lab Interface.
