  What the? Hydraulics

Kevin Clague- How can a lego pneumatic do hydraulic work? If I'm not much mistaken, hydraulics and pneumatics use two diferent sources of power. (19 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Yes, I was wondering what method should be used to bleed them successfully. The clamp idea is a good one. My compressor is very basic. I don't have buggy motors. To build the pressure/vac engine all you would have to do, I assume, is split the (...) (19 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.technic)

(...) You will undoubtedly have to bleed the air out of the system when you put in your hydraulic fluid. Otherwise the system won't perform as well. (...) Kev (19 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Hi Billy, Well, my recollection of a composite five port switch was faulty. When I tried to create a two piston timing circuit (precursor to motor), it would leak because all four switches would be on, letting pressure directly through to (...) (19 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.technic)

System to allow pressure and vacuum for piston at the same time

Hi, Single LEGO pneumatic switches are not capable of controlling a pneumatic system that uses both pressure and vacuum to drive a given cylinder at the same time. A single switch does not let you capture the exhaust inherint when a piston contracts (...) (19 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.announce.moc) !
