I think there are some of these:

fence pieces aligned with the studs, with black plates fixed to them (studs
through the gratings), and tiles underneath of course. Two black plates in each
side of a fence piece is exactly 2 studs wide but 0.5 stud offset. You need 10
plates between two sets of a fence with 2 black plates each side in order to
line up again. Therefore each fence piece has 2 black, 1 white, 2 black, 1
white and 1 black plates stacked on each side of it.
