Re: Working Fountain on TCLTC layout (Pics)

(...) It actually pumps the water. A large part of the design problem was getting the system to pump an amount of water that wasn't too much and wasn't too little. I'd have to say that the final result was a triumph of trial and error:-) JOHN (20 years ago, 19-Apr-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: SSClagorpion

(...) Ok, we [plan to] have a sensor on the front foot, and can detect when that is down. So, no more sensors are required. So you said, the forward/backward must be changed while the feet are in the air. We've been thinking of having a touch sensor (...) (20 years ago, 19-Apr-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: SSClagorpion

(...) It is my belief that sideways walking will require a third degree of articulation in the leg/hip structure. It will cause the legs to swing towards and away from the body. By replacing the forward/backward part of the leg sweep with the side (...) (20 years ago, 19-Apr-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: SSClagorpion

(...) Ok, so what's required for walking sideways? One switch (= single set of switches, all activated at once) to switch from forward/back/turn to side-to-side? I'm sure that comes to about 16 reverser switches, or something. :) I just happened to (...) (20 years ago, 19-Apr-04, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Is his system actually pumping water through the pistons, or is he using air pressure from them to push water through tubes? (20 years ago, 19-Apr-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.technic, FTX)

(...) That's pretty neat! It will be interesting to see if there's any deterioration of the pneumatic pumps over time, especially the seals. ROSCO (added .technic) (20 years ago, 18-Apr-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  CSSOH Pneumatic Page?

There are many references to the CSSOH Pneumatic Page with the URL of: (URL) haven't been able to access it at above URL, I tried a Google search but everything leads back to the above URL. Has this page been moved somewhere or is it down (...) (20 years ago, 18-Apr-04, to lugnet.technic)

Re: The latest from Epsilon's Lego Williams range!

(...) I have blue tiles in excess, but not in the sizes I really need. I have white tiles as well, but in order to do some of the trickyness to get the sidepods 1 plate thick I can't use tiles (and the sidepods look really odd if the white is higher (...)   FLL National Championships in the Georgia Dome this week

This week the FIRST LEGO League National Championships were held in Atlanta at the Georgia Dome (home of the Atlanta Falcons). So since the event was in my backyard I figured it would be fun to see what the event was all about. I got a position as a (...)   Re: SSClagorpion

(...) I can see the good sense in putting the hip switches on their own sets of levers, as your pics show. That way, the force required for them and for the legs is independent, so there's no extra load on the switches. I am used to mounting the (...) (20 years ago, 16-Apr-04, to lugnet.technic)
