Very interesting machine. I like a MOC used for a practical application. Do
you plan to replace the wheel and plate with a real ink stamp? This could
definitely be used for real work!

Yes, eventually that will happen. The tricky part is actually buying the stamp.
:) Im a little worried that the ink will drip out of the ink pad since its
inverted but Ill just have to cross that bridge when I get to it.
As for the real work part...thats what it was built for. :)

What about using a simple downward-acting, self-inking stamp? I have one of
these for applying my return address on envelopes, and its just a simple
downward action to apply the stamp. Seems less complicated than an ink pad and
roller. Anyways, just a thought :-)

It *is* less complicated, but thats what were using now and there are
problems. First of all, the envelopes have bubblewrap in them, so there are
problems with lumpy surfaces. You might not ink the whole address if youre not
careful. Then, if you want to be fast, you like to take out fifty at a time and
put them in a stack and then just knock them off the top as you stamp them.
Youve just increased the lumpy factor 50x, but if you do them one at a time
youll be there all day. Using a roller eliminates the lumps, since its not
trying to touch the whole area at once - just a small part.
Thanks for the comment.
