Im curious to know if all parts are exactly the same as 8431, including
squared bottom 90s pneumatic cylinders.
The photo from S@H is certainly identical to 8431.

Besides replacing the old style half bushings
4265a Technic Bush 1/2 Type I
with the new ones
4265c Technic Bush 1/2 Type III
the only major change is the way you manually turn the pulley wheels. In the
original set, you used these pieces: 4185 Technic
Wedge Belt Wheel 4274 Technic Pin 1/2
424 Technic Handle
The new one simplifies things using the new short pin piece:
4185 Technic Wedge Belt Wheel
32002 Technic Pin 3/4
The manual that comes in the set is a reprint of the original set, including
the older pieces. There is also an additional sheet that shows which
instruction numbers use the new pieces.
So yes, you get pneumatic cylinders with bricks for bottoms.

Ok, you just listed the differences between the original 8460 and the first
re-release, 8431. I wanted to know if the second re-release 8438 differs from
8431. Thanks anyway.
