Some of the Bionicle TOA sets have a mini CD and some do not. It seems to be that the ones at TRU contain the mini CD but the ones from other stores do not have this included. Thanks to everyone for responding to my post. I have lots of ideas now of how to tackle this problem... ITs amazing how man ways there are to do this type of thing. I never would have thought of sticking 3 24 tooth gears together, as someone (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic)

To the contrary, half of my Toa sets limb pieces (legs in particular) have become very loose. I think they didn't used to be that way. Lewa is the only set that has the textures on the leg peices - I had assumed it was wear and tear, because he is (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

(...) I noticed (pre-Bionicle) that there is a fair amount of variation in the arm pieces in just the way you describe as well as some seeming to be made of a harder/stiffer plastic.
