Thanks for the info on the solor cell and capacitor, I've been wondering how well they work. Gary BTW: nice bot! Micah J. Mabelitini <micahx@kih.net> wrote in message news:3AB7204C.1AAE5E...kih.net... (...) (26 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, lugnet.dacta)

 | | Solar-Powered Hexapod Walker

I built a simple solar-powered hexapod last weekend with some new parts I ordered from Pitsco. The walker is quite slow, using the LEGO solar cell to power a 5225 9V motor, which drives a worm gear coupled directly to a 24T gear. I've found the LEGO (...) The big 4X4...there's that big one (8466 methinks), and a $39 smaller one (8465 iirc)...do they come out at roughly the same time? or does one come out before the other one? Anyone heard a date for release? Beuller? Beuller? (26 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

Hi Simon, In the first instance, call LEGO Consumer Services on 08457 080070. If you explain the problem, they will almost certainly send you a replacement. The micromotors seem to have a habit of jamming: I've destroyed one myself, trying to find (...) (26 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

Contact Lego, they are very good about replacing damaged parts. I buy alot of Lego and have only had problems with sets a few times, but lego has always been very good about replacing the bad parts. Derek (26 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)
