can't say i've ever built something that i feared because it could hurt me... I've been afraid of my creations simply because I have NO idea where the inspirations for them came from. that is quite cool... planning on building the rest of the bot? (...) This may sound a little bit weird, but has anyone ever built anything that they were actually afraid of? I think I have done just that: (URL) Spinning Wheel of Death. (...) Yeah, I noticed that too. I've actually started (gulp!) distorting those loose 8t gears by resting them on a couple of teth & squeezing - you've gotta becareful no to squeeze too much! Also a few of my 8t have cracked (not the ones I (...) (26 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) I've been having problems with eight tooth gears and short (<6) axles. it seems that in certain combinations, an 8-tooth with slide all along a six- or four-long axle, IOW, no gripping. and then there are those that i can't put on an axle w/o (...) (26 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)
