Re: Need to figure out how to get this motor unit attached.

(...) Hi Geoffrey, I think the easiest way to turn gearing through use of the worm gear, however as others will point out a worm gear is not very efficient gearing down mechanism, also if this is run for several hours at a time, the meshed gears (...) (18 years ago, 19-Apr-06, to lugnet.technic)

I've been working with José David Parra on the next version of his (URL) RCX.NET> project, because 1.) the NXT system is coming out, and 2.) RCX.NET is basically a .NET wrapper of Spirit.ocx, which means it's not so nice to program with. Another (...)   Re: Request for info on the Control Lab Interface.

(...) Another question: Does this device work with serial port to USB adapters? I'd like to make this code as robust as possible, so this would be nice to know. If so, then I'd need to know if those adapters map themselves to the equivalent of COM1, (...) (18 years ago, 14-Apr-06, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, FTX)

Need to figure out how to get this motor unit attached.

Re: Request for info on the Control Lab Interface.

(...) Thanks for your information! I was also sent via email a very helpful page: (URL) His (URL) Research Page> has source code, which was also helpful. In fact, his ActiveX control might be useful for NQC. I had trouble getting it to connect to my (...) (18 years ago, 12-Apr-06, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Request for info on the Control Lab Interface.

(...) Yes, programs are executed on the PC. (...) Nothing is stored on the device. (...) It resides on the PC. (...) AFAIK, you will need a newer version of ROBOLAB. The older versions (forget which) did not support ControlLab. If you're up to the (...) (18 years ago, 11-Apr-06, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Help with converting voltage on circuit board

(...) Hi Danny, If we supply +12V to the top of the transistors, the drive circuit will most likely not be able to block those transistors completely (unless said drive circuit has an open collector structure with a pull up to the emitter of the (...)   Re: Request for info on the Control Lab Interface.

Just today I got one of these from an eBay auction, including the original cable in a sealed plastic bag. The ROBOLAB software wasn't included, however, so I imagine that I'll need a driver of some kind to use it. Does anyone have a driver? (This (...)   Re: Scissor Lift in LEGO?

Re: Help with converting voltage on circuit board

(...) Thanks Dustin, those will help. I am inclined to agree with Philippe Hurbaine on the regulator. It is also obvious that it can take AC from the full wave rectifier near the power port. In answer to Davids question about the 4v connector (using (...) (18 years ago, 8-Apr-06, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)
