Re: MOC: DEMAG CC2800 Crawler Crane - Stage 1 complete

(...) Thanks Anders, I think I'll need it. Attempting a 5 metre boom scares me just a little bit... ROSCO (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam, FTX)

(...) I had to steal cams from my son, but I improved the geometry. I cannot figure out where all my cams went....... Improved geometry. (URL) test it soon. Kevin (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: SSClagorpion - Compressor

(...) Chop Chop! I want to see @ss's and elbows! I want to see little dimples on your swollen fingers! I want to be able to read the LEGO backwards on your finger tips! What do you mean a project of this kind has never been done before! I walked to (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: SSClagorpion - Compressor

(...) I swear. Eric reminds me of a manager. Every once-in-a-while, he sticks his head in the door and asks how everything's doing. Before we can answer, he's on his way to his next project... :) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: SSClagorpion - Compressor

(...) I know. (...) The medium pulley connects the six pump arms into an assembly that is moved around by the 40T gear. The radius of the circle swept by the inner pin holes is 1.5 studs, not 2. So the pumps only travel 3/4 of the maximum distance. (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

ahh the comressor. create the heart of the beast. standing by. e (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: SSClagorpion - Compressor

(...) I was wondering about that. Wait, that doesn't seem quite right. They all connect together, and that assembly is attached to a medium pully, right? So, the assembly moves back and forth (actually, in a circle) two full studs. Is that the (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: SSClagorpion - Compressor

I know how much Steve likes to wait, so...... I got enough three blade rotor parts (from Gigamesh, (URL) ) to make a hexagonal frame for my radial compressor. I've got pictures: (URL) the 44374's that the pump bases are hooked to. Very aesthetically (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: MOC: DEMAG CC2800 Crawler Crane - Stage 1 complete

(...) Wow! That is spectacular. I'd seen your pictures of the construction of the crane and looked forward to the final model. I'm going to go gawk at it now... (definitely spotlighted) best, TJ (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam)

  Re: lego pneumatic

(...) Interesting project. Will your car have a pneumatic engine? Pneumatic steering? The large pump can run the engine with no externally controlled switches. Steering on the other hand would require control of two switches. Both pistons expanded (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos, lugnet.technic)

Re: MOC: DEMAG CC2800 Crawler Crane - Stage 1 complete

(...) Hi ROSCO, Congratulation to your new project, its really amazing. I like your very detailed description on your page, and the new pictures from outside are great.   Re: MOC: DEMAG CC2800 Crawler Crane - Stage 1 complete

(...) Well I'm not sure it IS the biggest. It's certainly not the tallest. But I guess I could submit it and let the challengers come forward! It might well have the biggest crawlers in a LEGO MOC though, and it might beat Beat's (pun intended!) for (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam, FTX)

Re: MOC: DEMAG CC2800 Crawler Crane - Stage 1 complete

(...) Hi Vineet, thanks! Unfortunately, no, I don't have an Ldraw file. I may at some stage do various parts of it up in Ldraw, but I very much doubt I would ever do it all. Any Ldrawing I do will be posted on that page. ROSCO (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam, FTX)

Re: MOC: DEMAG CC2800 Crawler Crane - Stage 1 complete

Ross- Hello. I must say that this is a very nice model. Do you happen to have an LDraw file accompaniment for it (showing how you put the parts together etc...)? (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam, FTX)

Re: MOC: DEMAG CC2800 Crawler Crane - Stage 1 complete
