  Re: Pneumatic Quadraped 242

(...) Thanks Eric! (...) Sure! (...) I just ordered up 20 small pistons to make one that is faster. I should add head and tail. I wonder if a tail and a head can be articulated so I can reduce foot side. (...) Thanks Eric. (...) Very cool Eric! (...)   Re: Crane

(...) Yes it does, but without the 2x4s, your boom will be able to shear - ie the parallelogram created by the beams & 1x4 plates only has friction holding it square, and a long boom built that way may fail. If the 1x4s are on the top/bottom it (...) (21 years ago, 27-Nov-03, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: Pneumatic Quadraped 242

(...) Perfect! (...) Way to go! (...) (URL) Facinating! (...) Intense! (...) Can I build a Mecha Sheith for it? An outer skin? Can I can I! Question: Any entertainment for a Tail of some sort to study the effect during articulation? Nice work. e (...) (21 years ago, 27-Nov-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build, lugnet.robotics, FTX)

(...) And of course how you created the zap effect. I can quite easily create the fireball (I did a smaller version in my film Glowing Orbs) but the lightning stumps me. You didn't draw each part by hand, did you?! ~Mike (21 years ago, 27-Nov-03, to lugnet.animation, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: JCB JS220 Excavator

(...) While the model works with the standard Lego battery box as shown, I usually run it from 8 NiMH rechargeables giving 9.6V. These are housed in the back of the superstructure in the same place as the battery box. At exhibitions when the (...) (21 years ago, 27-Nov-03, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: Crane

(...) Mmmm... i'm not exactly the expert in cranes (in fact, I've never built one), but I think you can use 2x4 plates instead of the 1x4 plates (this way you can get a solid boom instead of a parallelogram).. like this: (URL) (...)   Re: JCB JS220 Excavator

(...) Hi Jennifer, Excellent model! I really enjoyed playing with it in Geldermalsen. And I works smoothly. The only thing I'm wondering is how long it takes before the power is gone. I mean, using five motors you must have powerfull batteries. I'm (...) (21 years ago, 27-Nov-03, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Lewa in Exo Toa Zaps Makuta

(...) really cool - to me - how the slowness of the effects actually makes the segment seem longer than it is. Most folks who would show off a clip that short would have something that just went ZIP! and you wouldn't really now what you'd seen. The (...)
