Re: Heavily modified 8880 chassis, succesfully motorised and solar powered.

Updated .ldr is ready, in case anyone cares... The (non-lego-) motor is located on the 2 yellow 1x8 plates over the rear axle. That 16tooth gear you see 'floating' in the air on the 24tooth gear is on the motor's axle. The motor is connected to the (...) (22 years ago, 9-Mar-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Heavily modified 8880 chassis, succesfully motorised and solar powered.

(...) Nicely ambitious idea, but I don't nearly have enough lego to make it reality. Right now it's just a 8880 derived solar car for me. :) Today at about 16:00 the sun decided to come out a bit. There were still some very thin clouds, and the sun (...) (22 years ago, 9-Mar-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Unknown Instruction Book

(...) Hi all, About a week ago it was a big surprise for me to find a topic that goes about my designs. Now I can finally reply on this topic. So this is my first writing here :) Both the car and the instruction book are mine, and yes they are not (...) (22 years ago, 9-Mar-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: 8448 super car inventory by box number

(...) Although I got it MISB, unfortunately didn't keep an inventory of each box when building it. However, I know the general modules built by each box, I hope it helps you: Box 1 - frame Box 2 - steering + front wheel assembly Box 3 - differential (...)   8448 super car inventory by box number

Hello..I was wondering if any you had an inventory of the 8448 super car separated by box number? I got a used 8448 and would like to sort the pieces into their original boxes. If you have it, I would very much appreciate a copy. Thanks Ramy (22 years ago, 9-Mar-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Power Pullin' With My Tractor

(...) I don't have any new style 24t gears. My newest lego set is the 8880 supercar from 1995, that has now been dusted off and mutated to serve as a school project. :) (...) New style 24t gears would be fine, as long as they're compatible with the (...) (22 years ago, 8-Mar-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Power Pullin' With My Tractor

(...) Dude, this is old! :-) (...) That's been my experience too. Especially with the old-style 24 tooth gears. In fact, the axle support kinda warps as the axle rotates out. And then sometimes it just breaks. Just use the new style 24t gears. The (...) (22 years ago, 8-Mar-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Power Pullin' With My Tractor

Sorry for digging up an old thread ;) In the solar car I'm building (see the 'heavily modified 8880 chassis' thread) I've so far broken 3 old style 24 tooth gears. (among some old style 12 tooth crown gears, but that's no surprise really...) The (...) (22 years ago, 8-Mar-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Heavily modified 8880 chassis, succesfully motorised and solar powered.

(...) Thanks Tobbe and Pixel for bringing up those links. I knew of, and was actually referring to Jeff Jahr's transmission but, the pneumatic version by Markku Jaaskelainen is totaly new to me. I wish I knew how to make an umlaut on this computer (...) (22 years ago, 8-Mar-03, to lugnet.technic)
