R: Front suspension and 3-or-more-speeds gearbox

It's compact, but, in my opinion, it's going to tear apart - this is because of the spring pulling away the axles from the dark gray connectors, when the suspension is pushed down ('m not considering the counter-action caused by the grip of the (...) (22 years ago, 15-Oct-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Colored gears

(...) These are quite old. I got some in my first LEGO set in the 1970's (Probably around 1975 or so). They are not modern Technic compatable. I still have several of each. They used to attach to the old wheels with metal axels. Eric Kingsley (22 years ago, 15-Oct-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Colored gears

I was just browsing around the Lugnet parts inventory and found some unusual gears that I had not seen before. They do not seem to be compatible with the normal gears as it looks like they have different types of teeth, and the standard axle (...) (22 years ago, 15-Oct-02, to lugnet.technic)

I too, just got one of these, though it shipped in August from PITSCO. All of the things you mention. I thought I had a bad one.   Re: something i said?

Nice work. I think you forgot to relocate the axles when you changed to the bevel gears. The way it's drawn the 5L axles penetrate the teeth of the 16-tooth gears and the bevel gears intrude on the adjacent axles. (22 years ago, 15-Oct-02, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)
